We all want to live a happy and comfortable life realizing one’s full potential. However, there are so many confusions and unresolved issues that impact our being, relationships, and work.

Although the average material standard of living for humans is higher than it has ever been, we are still struggling with issues within, and at various levels like, loneliness, depression, anxiety, lack of clarity on what to do, why to do, purposelessness, lack of trust, jealousy, hatred, disrespect, poverty, hunger, malnutrition, inequality, polarization, extremism, violence, pollution, resource depletion, climate change, species extinction, etc.

There is an immediate need to work on enabling individuals to discover their true potential of being human. The root of all issues is in lack of right understanding in individuals and the development of human consciousness we propose is a sustainable solution to the problems mentioned above.

We see greater possibilities with Universal Human values education (Jeevan Vidya) in this direction. As an organization, we choose to develop the resources, design and facilitate various programs that are experiential, reflective, and rooted in making connections to the participants’ own life.

Our goal is to draw the attention of our participants from looking outside to looking inwards. For this, various forms of workshops have been designed to cater to a wide variety of audiences. The core purpose of the workshops remains the same, only the form, the presentation, and the approach may change.

JV/UHV workshops aim to develop holistic perspectives about self, relationships, society, and nature so that individuals begin to see new possibilities for living a harmonious life. This experience empowers people to reduce the level of conflict in their life, and enhance fulfillment and satisfaction in their relationships.

Participants of our 7 day long workshops often wished that they are reminded of the core proposals repeatedly so that they relate to them as they face life. Also, the proposals being at a very fundamental level need continuous reflection to be able to see their magnanimity. Weekly refreshers are helping out participants deepen their clarity and practice introduced during the 7 to 10 day introductory JV/UHV workshop

What is immediately important to us is where our attention goes to and CHDHC aims to take up some very important and immediate issues that are bothering our society and help bring some resolution to them. Often, these resolutions initiate inquiry towards larger questions. We have conducted sessions on topics like “Parenting”, “What is Right Education”, “Goal Setting”, “Eco-Friendly Living” etc.

Knowledge has its true value only when it comes to living. Holistic Living Program (HLP) is aimed to help contextualize the Jeevan Vidya knowledge and enabling individuals to make changes to live to experience real transformation. Intense, sincere, and serious participants join the HLP program for a few months. Every alternate Sunday a small group of 8 to 10 participants (including resource person) spends two hours. Participants share their experiences, learnings from the change that they have tried to make consciously biweekly and be a source of inspiration for each other.
